What exactly did we win?

Our Camp Mograph 2024 opening titles took first place in the “Motion Graphics & Design” craft category—a field that recognises pure design and on-screen typography apart from VFX or animation.

Run each June during AICP Week at MoMA in New York, the AICP Post Awards celebrate the year’s most outstanding work in commercial post-production. Judges—drawn from editors, colourists, motion designers, sound engineers and VFX supervisors worldwide—select winners in highly granular craft categories such as editorial, colour grading, sound design, motion graphics & design, compositing and CGI. Because the show is the direct successor to the old AICE Awards, it retains a laser focus on the artists rather than the advertising agency or brand. Every winning piece is permanently archived in The Museum of Modern Art’s Department of Film, giving honourees the rare distinction of having commercial work preserved alongside cinema history. aicp.comen.wikipedia.org

Why that matters:

  • Industry stature – The AICP Post Awards (formerly the AICE Awards) are often described as “the Oscars of post-production.” magazine.shots.net
  • Global field – Hundreds of submissions from studios worldwide are narrowed to a shortlist and then judged by a specialist jury drawn from top editors, colourists, designers and directors.
  • Craft-only focus – Unlike broader “best commercial” trophies, the Post Awards single out individual disciplines—so a Motion Graphics win is a direct endorsement of design excellence.

How the project came together

When director Duncan Elms (Elastic) invited fourteen artists to create self-contained segments for Camp Mograph’s 2024 titles, the brief was “maximum personality, zero creative handcuffs.” Each designer delivered a signature 7- to 10-second vignette celebrating the camp’s themes of collaboration and play.

Elastic’s editor Jessica Ledoux then choreographed those fragments into the seamless sequence that now opens every Camp Mograph event.
